Who We Are
HLA Lane County (HLA-LC) is a member-driven organization that provides information, education, support and advocacy for people with hearing loss, their families, and friends.
Everyone is welcome to come check out our General Meeting, it is held on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7-9p.
What We Do
We assist others to remain on the job and to understand the speech of others by sharing information and resources on assistive technology. We have worked with entertainment venues to offer captioned theater performances and advocated for assistive listening systems in a variety of settings and for captions at public events at the University of Oregon. We have also worked with hospitals and medical providers to help them understand hearing loss and to provide needed accommodations and created a low cost Hospital Kit for use by consumers who don’t hear well.
Find out more about the benefits of membership! By joining HLAA Lane County you are joining with both a local and national community that is here to provide current information and tools in regards to hearing loss. With the help of postcards and quarterly meetings there has never been a better time to get involved!
